REVIEW: JUMPYARD IN LØRENSKOG

Last-year Christmas, we had promised our niece and nephew to take them to a trampoline park, instead of buying them Christmas gifts. Once the winter holiday came, they had signaled us that the time had come!

FYI, Jumpyard is not the only trampoline park around here. Rush Trampolinepark and Sprett Askim offer different services and activities. However, for us we chose what is convenient for us. Jumpyard is located in Lørenskog which took us just 30 mins to drive (even less for those who live in Oslo.)

We had booked the tickets online, which saved us a great deal of time, especially on the weekend. We arrived half an hour before the time and I saw a big queue in the front when we came in. I thought that we had to wait quite a while before we could get in. It turned out, those are parents who didn’t buy a ticket in advance.

If you have booked the ticket online, just walk straight to the counter where the cafe is, show them the booking and they will give you a paper wristband and a pair of non-slip socks. If you booked two hours like us, you will get two wristbands.

The top 10 of must-tries

  1. Plan ahead and book the ticket online will save you time, I promise!
  2. Wear comfy clothes. And, if you do the Hoydebane, when the staff suggests, ‘Maybe you want to have shoes on…’, say yes and go get the shoes!
  3. Stretch before you jump!
  4. Do be shy, even if you are a noob!
  5. Do the extra activities: SkyRider and Høydebane, after your time is up. It costs 90kr for each ride – not inclusive in the ticket.
  6. You, as an adult, should try everything! why?
    • It is fun and adrenaline-driving within a safe environment.
    • Color Climb and the Høydebane are my recommendations!
    • If you’re with your kid(s), you should definitely join them so you know how challenging it is and how tough your kids are!
  7. Land on your back if you jump into the enfield. It is not that deep, so your legs will hit the bottom pretty fast (and hard).
  8. The SkyRider has a height limit of 185cm. Try, if you’re not too tall for it!
  9. Try slushie with every flavour in it…a special recommendation from my nephew! (His one apparently tasted better than my safe-choice boring cola flavour.)
  10. I would have booked only an hour there next time. Here’s why!
    • My niece and nephew loved it there, but one got back pain within the first 30 minutes from stretching too hard and fast.
    • Within an hour, the other one had been everywhere and tried everything.
    • We spent another half an hour at the cafe – enjoying slushie and pizza!
    • The other 15 minutes was wasted on the queue on that zipline.

Here're my opinion on the Jumpyard

  • Fun extra activities: SkyRider and Høydebane.
  • Enjoyable cafe with a good variety of cakes and snacks. Family and kid friendly environment.
  • The main target is kid. If you’re a group of adults who just wanna jump and do tricks, maybe Rush or Sprett Askim is a better choice (or at least not in the weekend.)
  • Too little choice of food – only four choices of pizza on the menu.
